Coal bituminous

Bituminous coal, according to Western classification, is the most common type of coal. It has a black color, soft texture and dense structure, on which you can often see shiny and matte stripes. Bituminous coal has a moisture content of less than 20%. Its calorific value approaches the range of 7-9 kW/kg.

In many highly developed countries bituminous coal is widely used in industry in large quantities compared to coal of other categories. This is due to the fact that its quality does not deteriorate during transportation and it has a high calorific value. In addition, some varieties of bituminous coal are used to produce metallurgical coke.
