Liquefied hydrocarbon gases

LPG, or liquefied petroleum gas, is a mixture of light hydrocarbons whose boiling point ranges from -50°C to 0°C. Its composition can vary, but the main components are propane, propylene, isobutane, isobutylene, n-butane and butylene.

This gas is mainly derived from associated petroleum gas and finds a wide range of uses as a fuel for motor vehicles, heating and domestic use, including cooking, boiling water and use in lighters. In addition, it also finds use in petrochemical processing.
